Blogging Til I Win a Grammy: Day 760

Post #39 of ANNIE B.’s D.I.Y. MAGAZINE:  Need Rest!!

The photo shoot this morning for HERLIFE Magazine was FANTASTIC!  I met Erin (the owner of the magazine) and Jerry Cahak was the photographer!

OMG it was FREEZING out there today but this is for the July issue, so I had to look summery!  Do you think it worked???  My little pinkies got so frozen cold they almost broke off!  After, the 3 of us had coffee at Starbucks and getting to know these folks was a lot of fun and they are GREAT people… so glad to be working with them!  Jerry did such a great job, I’d like to do a full-day photo shoot with more outfits and locations.  We did two outfits today and around 6 locations.

Next up was my friend over here to help with booking.  She is a NATURAL!  She’s gonna do GREAT and I think it’s going to be a win-win for both of us!  I think she had fun, and she’ll be probably working 8-10 hours a week.  If she can help secure JUST ONE new gig for me each week, it will SOOO pay off!!!

I realized at this point in the afternoon that I started coughing a lot and I think being scantily clad in 30 degree weather was doing me in.  Cindy and I had an appointment to talk about a fundraier for Annie B & The Vagabond Company’s European tour.  We spoke over the phone and discussed MOCT as a venue, and Sept. 10th as a target date.  She will be auctioning herself off (for a date) to raise money for the cause!  Now THAT’S what I call a good friend!!!!!!  There will be 3 bands, a silent auction, hopefully a gallery of artists, and LOTS of promotion.

Off for a nap.

As I was half asleep/waking up, some tunes started swirling through my head.  This would not be the first time I literally wrote a song in my sleep.  I wish I could remember all those songs I wrote in my sleep.  The first one was “Hey, Mama” (1993/94) which may need to resurface someday.  I’d LOVE to someday do an album of songs that I wrote “in my sleep.”  I tried to remember the first one, but then Mike called, and by this time, I had the last ‘swirling tune’ memorized.  I told Mike I needed to pee and record this song on my phone and he let me go and that’s just what I did.  The song is called “Hope” and I am planning on performing it at my InterContinental Hotel show on Friday night.  I still need to write the 2nd verse, but I have a feeling it will come easily.

I was planning on seeing a band called Circle II Circle… Zoy invited me, but I was very much is need of rest and I am just about to return to bed, now that it’s already 11pm.

Good night, and please send vibes that I “get well soon”!!!
